DONNIE R. DUPREE

LOUISBURG--Donnie Ray Dupree, 76, of Louisburg left us to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2019. He was born on December 30, 1942 to the late Ottis and Myrtle Stephenson Dupree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stacy Dupree, and his sister, Shirley D. Fuquay. Donnie loved farming, working in his yard and garden, collecting and restoring clocks, refinishing lamps and antique furniture, and he also enjoyed bluegrass music and camping at Myrtle Beach. He was a very active member of Red Bud Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 pm at Red Bud Baptist Church where funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm, with the Reverend Gary Shugart officiating. Entombment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Dupree; son, Kevin Dupree (Kari); nephews, Larry Dupree (Melody), Gary Dupree (Bunny); nieces Kathy Rowe (Larry), Lisa Wallace (Keith), Karen Heiliger (Mark); and his brother-in-law, Bobby W. Murphy (Judy Hampton)

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, 832 NC Hwy 58, Castalia, NC 27816 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
