MARY FRANCES HARRIS PIPER

FRANKLINTON, NC - Mary Frances Harris Piper, 78, of Franklinton, passed away on February 28, 2021. She was born in Nash county on October 23, 1942 to the late Thurston G. and Hazel Wood Harris. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Thurston G. Harris, Jr.

Mary Frances is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Robert A. Piper, Sr.; her sons and daughters-in-laws, Robert A. Piper, Jr. (Lauri) and Stephen W. Piper (Lorna); her five grandchildren, AJ Piper (Lauren), Samantha Piper King (Jonathan), Lauren Ashleigh Marchant (Garrett), Caleb Piper (Jessica), and James Piper; her six great-grandchildren, Jackson King, Brennan Piper, Sadie King, Brayden Piper, Beau Piper, and Brysen Piper; her sister-in-law, Betty Harris; and many special aunts.

Mary Frances was a godly woman, and the strong support of the churches where her husband and she served in ministry for fifty years. She was a "Ray of Sunshine", anyone that met her was greeted with charm and a smile, she instantly made them feel important. Mary loved peace, she was an organizer, and detail oriented, planning for her family's needs.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Freedom Life Church of God, 1001 Martin Creek Rd, Henderson, NC 27537, with Pastor Jeff Prewer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton, NC.
