Louisburg, NC--James Curtis Gupton, 60, of Louisburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was born on November 13, 1962, to Grace Elizabeth May Gupton and the late Douglas F. Gupton.

Curtis is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Gupton (Tom Collie); his significant other, Karla Frizzelle; his brothers, Terrell Gupton (Sharon) and Wayne Gupton (Shannon); his sister, Hattie Rice (Don); a nephew, Gabriel Gupton; a niece, Rachel Edens

Curtis was known as kind, friendly, and generous with his time to help others. He enjoyed "piddling" in the shop and was an extremely skilled woodworker. Curtis loved horses, cars, his boots, country music and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, burial followed in the Gupton Family Cemetery.
