Norwood Marshall Smith

FRANKLINTON, NC -- Norwood Marshall Smith, age 75, died May 8, 2025.

He was born in Wayne County, NC to the late David Aldon and Norva Gray Porter Smith. In addition to his parents Marshall was preceded in death by his first wife Menda Hocutt Smith; and oldest sister Linda Wall.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Christine Breedlove Smith; his daughters, Michelle Smith (BJ) and Amy Smith Hayden (Jason); stepchildren, Barry Bragg and Michelle Witz; six grandchildren; sisters Deborah Westbrook and Diane Boyd (Jerry); brother David Smith (Trudy); and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Monday, May 12, from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2124 Oak Grove Church Rd, Youngsville, where a celebration of Marshall's life was held at 2 p.m.
