FRANKLINTON - James Bullock, 82, died Monday, July 10, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 15, at Pope’s Chapel U.C.C., Franklinton, with the Rev. Mattie Crudup officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was the son of the late Betty Bullock and the grandson of the late Joseph and Frances Bullock of Vance County. Mr. Bullock was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Green Bullock, and his second wife, Vea Crudup; his oldest, Garaldine Dunston, and Robert Bullock, and a stepson, Ben Lee Crudup.

Surviving: children, Frances Bullock, Barbara Walker, Joseph Bullock (Alice), all of Franklinton, James Bullock Jr., John H. Bullock of Franklinton, and Betty Fowler (Johnny) of Youngsville; five stepchildren, Mollie Crudup, Martha Lee Reaves, Gracie Brodie, Katie Bertha Crudup, and Ella Vea Pender; 23 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
