BETTE MAY BARTHOLOMEW
LOUISBURG - Bette May Bartholomew, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. She was born May 11, 1925 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents; Matthew Myers Rook and Thelma Welsh Rook; her daughter, Judy Matty; and her grandson, Todd Matty.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Bartholomew of the home; her brother, Matthew Rook of Williamsport, PA; her daughter, Beverly Carr of Wake Forest; her grandson, J.J. Carr and wife Wendy of Louisburg; her granddaughter, Lauren Carr Harris and husband Tommy of Youngsville; and her great grandchildren, John Robert Carr, Gabriel Carr, Emily Carr, and Adelyn Harris.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Louisburg Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 following the visitation. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, NC.
