LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Ruth Tucker, 51, who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lorenzo Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the M. H. Jones Cemetery.
Surviving: husband, Joe Tucker; daughter, Hope Wright of Louisburg; son, Dondrall “Red” Alston of Louisburg; sisters, Louise Battle Person of Castalia, Mary Ann Alston of Henderson, and Barbara Alston of Louisburg; one brother, John Battle of Louisburg; and three grandchildren.
