ORVILLE “LOU” D. LEWIS JR.

YOUNGSVILLE - Orville Dexter Lewis Jr., 69, died Saturday, July 30, 2011. A memorial service was held Friday, Aug. 5, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Franklinton.


He was born in Summersville, W. Va., to the late Orville D. Lewis and Mary Pearl Willis Lewis. He received a master’s degree in plumbing and worked in the plumbing trade most of his life. He was known by his co-workers as the candy man, as he always had a pocket full of candy to share.


Surviving: wife, Charlotte Ann; sons, Matthew Adam Lewis, James Leary Senter (Mary), Anthony Ray Senter (Michelle); daughters, Melanie Lewis and Teresa Mitchell (Shawn); brother, Bobby Joe Lewis; sister, Mary Madeline McCoy; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Marie Nichols.
