WAKE FOREST - Sarah Ayscue Medlin, 82, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 21, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale, with the Rev. Greg Free officiating. Burial followed in the Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery.
She was born in Franklin County to the late Warner Norfleet Ayscue and Sarah Jane Hicks.
She worked with Southern Bell as an operator for 39 years.
Surviving: a son, Joseph Rudolph “Joe” Medlin (BJ) of Louisburg; sister, Katherine A. Watkins of Raleigh; and one granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Medlin.
