LUCY A. KEARNEY
FRANKLINTON - Lucy Allen Kearney, 67, died on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at Britthaven of Louisburg. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 24, at First Baptist Church of Franklinton, with the Rev. Diane Dozier officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Franklinton. She was born in Franklin County to the late Alfred and Pinnell Allen. She was united in matrimony to John V. Kearney.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Bessie Perry, Annie Crudup, Ida Allen and Florence Allen; one brother, Charles Allen; and two grandchildren.

Surviving: nine children, Larry (Eleanor) Kearney, Rickey (Ethel) Kearney, Cynthia Williams and Donnell Kearney, all of Louisburg, Nancy Perry and Connell Kearney of Wake Forest, Linda Greene of Oxford, Wanda (George) Darden of Warrenton, and Anthony (Kowanna) Kearney of Franklinton; two brothers, Alfred (Laura) Allen of Perth Amboy, N.J. and Henry (Brenda) Allen of Louisburg; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
