YOUNGSVILLE, NC -- Waltin "Turk" Young of Youngsville, age 97, son of the late Dora Smith Young and Andrew Young was born on May 7, 1928 in Boydton, Virginia. He died September 2, 2025 at his home in Youngsville, NC.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Marvin Young; loving wife, Clementine West Young; daughter-in-law, Jacquetta Davis Young, and two brothers, Warren and James Young.
Walt is survived by his daughter, Paula Young; son, Philip Young (Ann); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, Delores Trimiew, (Daryl), brother-in-law, Gregory West; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial service was Saturday, September 20, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton. Rev. Bernard Allen, pastor and Rev. Zella Young officiated.
