Martin Luther King Jr service
There will be a service to honor the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. The event will be held at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 928 S. Main St., Louisburg.
Everyone is invited.

Free community meal
There will be an Open Table free community meal at Louisburg United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. Join LUMC for a free hot meal and dinner around the table. There will be a Bible Story, live music, and children's activities. This is dinner church, LUMC's Open Table, a new way of worship rooted in a very old way of worshiping, gathering people at a table to eat and worship together. Jesus did it and so did the first Christians. Everyone was welcome then and now.
LUMC is located at the corner of Noble Street and Main Street, use the Noble Street entrance of LUMC.

GriefShare at Perry's Chapel
If you are experiencing new grief or continued grief of the loss of a loved one, you are invited to join Perry's Chapel Baptist Church 894 Perry's Chapel Road, Franklinton for a supportive ministry for those grieving a loss beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27 for the GriefShare program. It's a 13 week program, meeting Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 12 noon.
There will be trained facilitators, videos to watch (and discuss if you would like), honest sharing among new friends and a safe place to release your heartfelt thoughts and pain. Open to all.
