RAY STRICKLAND
LOUISBURG - Clarence Ray Strickland, 95, died Thursday evening, July 20, 2006 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, July 22) at Rock Spring Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Gene Darnell officiating.

Strickland was a son of the late Bennett P. and Geneva Breedlove Strickland and was preceded in death by six sisters and six brothers.

Surviving: his wife, Mattie Wheless Strickland; daughter, Carolyn Strickland of the home; son, Charles Ray Strickland of Knightdale; sister, Vivian Gosnell of Lynchburg, Va.; brothers, Crowell Strickland (Ruby) of Louisburg and Kenneth Strickland (Marilyn) of Clayton.

The family will receive friends at the home at all times.

Arrangements handled by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
