ALBERT P. ROBERTS
FRANKLINTON — Albert P. Roberts, 44, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 16, in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel in Franklinton, with the Revs. Clyde Waiden, Jack O’Neal and David Averette presiding. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.

He was born in Vance County to Joyce Goswick Roberts and the late Arnold Roberts.  He was a member of the Sons of the Legionnaires.

Surviving: mother, Joyce Goswick Roberts of Franklinton; brother, Craig Goswick Roberts; sister, Denise R. Roberts, both of Franklinton; two special cousins; two great-uncles and a great-aunt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Roberts; brother, Dean Roberts; maternal grandparents, Hixie and Henry Goswick; and paternal grandparents, Julius and Iris Roberts.

Flowers acceptable or contributions may be made in Albert’s memory to Friends of the North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, 1841 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27635; or the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
