MARY EDNA POPE
ZEBULON - Mary Edna Pope, 82, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010. A memorial service was held Monday, March 1, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel in Knightdale.

She was born in Nash County to the late Joseph Vernon Pope and Swannie Wayne Richardson Pope. She worked as a bookkeeper with General Parts, Inc. for 46 years.

Surviving: son, Robert D. Pope (Lea Anne) of Zebulon; sister, Gladys Tippett of Benson; and two granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Beatrice Flowers and Lorena Williams, and brother, William Robert Pope.

The family has suggested that contributions be made in her memory to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
