MCDONALD JOYNER
FRANKLINTON - McDonald Joyner, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Oct. 29, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Franklinton, with Dr. Mark A. Joyner officiating.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Katherine Joyner-Joyner. Mr. Joyner served two years in the U. S. Army. He was employed with Liggett and Meyers in Durham, retiring in 1989.

Surviving: his wife, Gladys Brooks McDonald; sons, Dr. Mark Joyner (Sandra) of Creedmoor and Major Donald Joyner (Regina) of Charlotte; daughters, Cheryl J. Roberts of Durham and Angela J. Perry (Carlton) of Kittrell; sisters, Louise Joyner of Newark, N.J., and Margaret Harris of Franklinton; one brother, James E. Harris (Diane) of Franklinton; stepmother, Vivian Harris of Franklinton; and eight grandchildren.
