Purple in the Pulpit
Safe Space, Inc. & Grace Haven Fellowship presents "Purple In The Pulpit"and candlelight vigil for victims of domestic violence homicide. The event is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4 at Grace Haven Fellowship, 726 Hicks Road, Youngsville.
The session will include a special gathering designed to equip and engage faith leaders with the knowledge and tools to recognize, respond to, and help prevent domestic violence in our community.

Speakers include: Monica Kearney, executive director of Safe Space, Inc. and Evangelist Carolyn J Thompson, founder of Abigail's Veil Ministry and author of "A Domestic Violence Handbook for Clergy and Church Leaders."
This event is a powerful opportunity for clergy, church leaders, and faith communities across cultures to unite in preaching prevention and promoting peace and honoring victims of domestic violence who have lost their lives in the fight to go beyond fear to freedom, organizers said. All are welcome.

Missionary Day
Manasseh Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have their annual Missionary Day on Oct. 5, during the 11 a.m. worship service. The speaker will be Reverend Cora Campbell of Nelson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Louisburg. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Hickory Grove Homecoming
Hickory Grove Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Oct. 5 at 10:45 a.m. The Rev. Derick Gill, Pastor of New Day Baptist Church, Garner will be the guest speaker. Dinner will be served immediately following service. Pastor Thomas and congregation invite all to attend.

Halloween costume drive and distribution
Bunn United Methodist Church is hosting a Halloween Costume Drive.
The church will be accepting new and gently used costumes and accessories.
Then on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 2 to 5 p.m., the shop will be open to all to pick-out a new costume for this holiday season. Costumes are free.
Ther goal is to make sure that everyone can participate in the spooky festivities, even if it's not in the budget.
Take your old costumes to 210 Main St. Bunn at the outside donation bin.

Youthcoming
Concord Missionary Baptist Church will have Youthcoming weekend, Oct. 11 and 12 at 645 Walter Grissom Road, Kittrell.
On Saturday, from 12 to 4 p.m., Oct. 11, will be Family and Friends Day, with a bounce house, food, games and prizes.
On Sunday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. the church will have A Youth Takeover special event during the regular Sunday service.

Homecoming and revival planned
Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1581 Bethlehem Church Rd, Youngsville, will host Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m.
Interim Pastor Allan Blume will bring the message and a "covered dish" luncheon will be held afterwards. The Harvest Day offering goal that day is $10,000. It will be used toward replacing the aging HVAC units. All are invited.
Bethlehem's revival will begin that evening at 7 p.m. and run through Wednesday, Oct. 15. Dr. Garry Baldwin will lead the nightly services. More information on these events at BBCNC.info.
