Louisburg, NC -- Joyce A. Hathaway Martin, 62, of Louisburg, passed away on Sunday night, July 12, 2026, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh.
Joyce was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hathaway and Margaret Carter Hathaway. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Carter; step-father, George W. Hathaway; and brother, Richard Lee Hathaway.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at the Martin Family Cemetery.
Joyce is survived by her son, Michael E. Martin Jr., of Florida; brothers, Robert Hathaway and wife Donna of Bailey, and Lloyd A. Hathaway of Louisburg; and nephews.
