DOROTHY B. BURNETTE
WELCOME, N.C.—  Dorothy Bell Burnette, 77, died Sunday morning April 6, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Burial followed in the Flat Rock Baptist Church cemetery in Louisburg.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Nellie Pearce Bell Potts and William Cleathen Bell. She was preceded in death by a brother, E.C. Bell, and a sister, Bobbie Bell Hill.

Surviving: daughters, Teresa Spencer of Welcome and Debbie Vermeulen of Winston- Salem; sisters, Rebecca Walker of Roxboro, Carolyn Blackburn of Durham and Bonnie Bell Campos of Wake Forest; a brother, Carson Bell of Louisburg; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
