JAMES R. CARTER JR.

SPRING HOPE- James Roy Carter Jr., 65, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 3 p.m. at Cypress Chapel Baptist Church, 4210 Seven Paths Road, Spring Hope.

He was born to the late James Roy Carter Sr and Fannie Mae Brock. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Carter.

Surviving: wife, Cynthia Carter; sons, John Thomas Carter (Melissa), Thomas Roy Carter and James Roy Carter, III (Jennifer); daughters, Crystal Gayle Carter and Angela Marie Light (Philip); brothers, David and Wayne Carter; sisters, Faye Jones (Arthur) and Brenda Pulley; and 14 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and at all other times at the home of Fannie Mae Brock.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 351 T. Kemp Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
