Samuel "Sammy" Prentice Dunn
August 29, 1984 - December 7, 2025

FRANKLINTON, NC -- Sammy Dunn, 41, of Franklinton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 7, 2025.

He was born in Raleigh, NC on August 29, 1984 at Rex Hospital. Sammy attended Vance Elementary, West Lake Elementary, Cedar Creek Middle, Franklinton High and graduated from Louisburg High School in 2004. He was always excited to go to a new school, so he could meet new friends. Sammy was generous, loving, and happy with a great smile. He loved video games, movies, the arcade, bumper cars, the NC Fair, swimming, miniature golf, playing jokes, board games, cards, and anything Scooby-Doo.

Sammy is survived by his father, Benjamin Dunn and his mother, Theresa Collins (Mike Tracy) of Franklinton; brothers, Richie Dunn of Franklinton; Eddie Dunn (Millicent) of Flat Rock; K.C. Watkins; aunt, Leigh McKenzie of Clayton.

The family will receive friends 4:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday December 13, 2025 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St, Franklinton NC 27525, with an open remembrance service to follow.
