Born April 8, 1934, he is survived by three sons, Rakim Alston, David Alston, and Perry Alston all of New Jersey; two sisters, Saddie Smith of Henderson, NC and Clementine Alston of New Jersey; two brothers, Raymond Alston of Louisburg, NC and Peter Alston of New Jersey, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
