Wreaths Across America
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 893 Bunn Elementary School Rd., and Wreaths Across America will be honoring our fallen soldiers on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 12 p.m. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Alpha Omega Zeta Chapter, Zetas of Franklin County all participated in this event.
Everyone is encouraged to support this celebration.

Mental health presentation
The South Main Street Baptist Church Jewels Women's Ministry presents "A Christian Perspective on Anxiety, Depression, and Vulnerability - Finding Your Inner Peace," on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Speakers will be Rev. Nancy Ruffin, Tifffany Eaton, Dr. of Public Health; Tyler Johnson, psychiatric-mental health Nurse Practitioner; and Sister Michelle Williams. Prepare to be renewed, restored, and reminded that peace is possible and begins within. Lunch will be served. You are asked to wear green for mental health, if possible. All are invited.

Surviving the Holidays
Are you facing grief this holiday season? You are not alone.
Perry's Chapel Baptist Church is planning a gathering for grieving people to talk about what to expect this season and to learn how to deal with the many emotions brought on by the holidays. Bittersweet memories. Loss of traditions. An empty seat at the table. The holiday season can trigger sadness and despair for people grieving a loss.

Christmas cantata
Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1581 Bethlehem Church Road, Youngsville, will present their Christmas cantata "I'll be home for Christmas" at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Following the presentation there will be a time of fellowship and light refreshments, according to Graham Baker, Sunday School director.

Free community meal
There will be an Open Table free community meal at Louisburg United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Join LUMC for a free hot meal and dinner around the table. There will be a Bible Story, live music, and children's activities. This is dinner church, LUMC's Open Table, a new way of worship rooted in a very old way of worshiping, gathering people at a table to eat and worship together. Jesus did it and so did the first Christians. Everyone was welcome then and now.
LUMC is located at the corner of Noble Street and Main Street, use the Noble Street entrance of LUMC.
