KATIE LOU H. SHEARON

KNIGHTDALE--Katie Lou House Shearon died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 after a short illness. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at Knightdale Baptist Church, 15 Main Street, Knightdale, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Trent Sessoms officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Elsie Foster House. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Shearon; her sisters, Audrey House, Emily Swanson and Kim House, all of Louisburg; and her brother, Stuart House, also of Louisburg.

She was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church where she served on numerous committees. She worked with the State of North Carolina in several positions during her career until her retirement.

Surviving: son, Mark Shearon (Sheila)of Spring Hope; daughter, Jennifer Shearon of Zebulon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremations Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Lousiburg.
