Sheriff Pat Green sworn in at high noon
Pat Green was officially installed as the new Franklin County sheriff Monday, being able to sit in an office he’d only dreamed about before.
“I remember when Sheriff (William) Dement came and spoke to my elementary class,” Green said to an overflow crowd that gathered inside the Franklin County Courthouse to see him and others be sworn in.

Commissioners take oaths; Buffaloe new chairman
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners seated its new chairman and vice chairman Monday and promptly got into the business of the county.
Commissioner Lyn Buffaloe was selected as the board’s chairman. Commissioner Robert Lee Swanson was selected as vice chairman.
