Bill Harris has opened a store where music lovers can find the newest CD from Fergie or dust off an old vinyl favorite by the Eagles.

Harris, who has spent more than 25 years in radio, decided to become his own boss last summer, buying Nits and Nats Music last summer.

Sally Opper, of Youngsville entered the Wake Forest Farmers Market’s first chili cook-off this past weekend. This year’s proceeds benefitted the Bunn Fire Department. The winner of the cook-off was Billy Ray’s Big Boy’s Chili of Wake Forest. The Firehouse Division was won by Wake Forest #2 - accepted by Bill Wandrack and Jeanne Bogner.
